NCKU free consulting service

In NCKU, there is a free consulting service of Taiwan law and other regulation. It is very useful for international students who are cheated or lied from someone but the lawyer can only Mandarin Chinese. So, for international students should go with some local friends. The lawer comes on Mon to Friday only 8:00am to 9:00am at YungPing 4th floor (left). I forgot the lawyer name. If you want to know more about please ask to

I had experienced that my friend bought new digital camera from Pei Men road with around 10g then broken after seven days with no user fault. My friend went to the shop and asked them to repair. The shop promised that OK and they will send to service center. Before my friend went back to the dorm and the shop telephoned to my friend that “your camera was broken because of user fault, we saw water inside the camera”. After few days, the shop called again that ” come to pick up your broken camera, the service center also can’t repair it any more. If it will repair, it will cost more than the new one “. So, we try to go to ask lawyer that he replied “from the view of law, you can’t do anything because you should check at the shop what happened or fault before you come back or you should directly go to service center. You can sue the shop, when you give it was good and when the shop return back with broken. Now the case is you give the shop with broken and the shop gave back the broken. You can’t do anything with the law”. So, we just directly aruge with the shop and the result was not good. The shop was said “it was not our responsiblity, we are only the broker with company and user. If you want to complain go to service center”.

What we learnt from this case ,

1) Stay at the shop ( service center or seller) what is the fault then decide at the right time.

2) Don’t buy from pei men road, there are a lots of cheated shop.

3) If something happen, find the brand service center and go directly.
